Major Product Updates In Doma v8.0

The Doma team shipped version 8.0 this week, marking one of the most significant releases in the protocol's history. This major update introduces synthetics, tradeable subdomains, and onchain ENS claims for parent domains.

Users can now set their ENS directly from within Doma, completely eliminating the need for DNSSEC configuration and external setup steps. Subdomain trading has gone live, opening entirely new composability and marketplace flows across the application.

The engineering team also ran a focused Bug Bash Friday, addressing a wide range of major and minor issues across both the app and protocol. Additionally, a subdomain registrar proof of concept was deployed on Sepolia testnet, laying the groundwork for a full production rollout.

02

User Experience Improvements

Several targeted UX enhancements shipped alongside the major release. The team implemented a transaction stepper for the ENS claim flow, making multi-step processes clearer for users. Settings access on subdomains received improvements, and DNS record handling now performs significantly better.

Gas estimation for ENS transactions has been properly calibrated, and reverse and wallet resolution now works across the entire application. These refinements ensure that the new trading and ENS features feel polished from day one.

03

Weekly Platform Statistics

Doma's weekly metrics demonstrate strong protocol activity and growing adoption. Total volume reached $26.8M across 1,237,161 transactions. The platform now hosts 54,167 tokenized assets with 8,926 connected wallets, and 37 domain tokens launched during the period.

The top pools by total value locked include USDC.e-ETH at the 0.05% fee tier with $267.8K, followed by USDC.e-ETH at 0.30% with $218K, and USDC.e-SOFTWARE.ai holding $50.1K.

For yield seekers, the highest APR pools showed impressive returns. USDC.e-BUYHIGH.xyz led with 1033.019%, USDC.e-MISHKA.ai offered 311.08%, and USDC.e-BRAG.com provided 176.641%.

Daily trading volume concentrated in USDC.e-ETH at $552K, with USDC.e-BRAG.com at $59.7K and USDC.e-SOFTWARE.ai at $47.1K rounding out the top three.

ICA Vegas Event Recap

ICA Vegas brought the domain world together in Sin City for substantial conversations about the industry's direction. The event featured Domain Daddies & Baddies, Doma's community side-event that united participants from across the ecosystem.

05

Community Activity And Growth

This week showed a clear lift in activity across the Doma community. As trading volume increased, attention shifted toward live market behavior rather than upcoming launches. Members closely tracked active domains and engaged in discussions around liquidity, visibility, and post-launch dynamics. Many revisited domains they had been watching over time.

The community also launched another domain on Doma: 24kgold.ai, adding to the growing collection of domains shaped and activated directly by community members.

06

Learning Through Shared Experience

Community support emerged as one of the strongest signals this week. Members actively helped each other by walking through selling and trading flows, setting expectations around update timing and UI behavior, and sharing personal experiences to help others navigate similar situations.

07

Weekly Wednesday Walkthrough Series Launch

The team kicked off WWW: Weekly Wednesday Walkthrough, a new tutorial series designed to make understanding and using every Doma feature straightforward as new capabilities ship. Each week brings a short walkthrough highlighting one core product flow from first click to completion.

The inaugural tutorial, WWW #1, covers claiming a subdomain on Doma and setting that subdomain as your ENS directly in the app. This allows users to adopt a human-readable name instead of a long wallet address with no external setup and no DNSSEC requirements—just a simple, one-click flow. More walkthroughs will publish weekly as development continues.

08

What Comes Next

The foundation is set for continued momentum. Community members traded thoughtfully, asked good questions, and helped others along the way. The balance of momentum and care creates a strong foundation for upcoming releases. Follow Doma on X to stay current with the latest developments.
